To set up a new farm, please share with us a file with boundaries of your parcels, ideally in SHP format. CleverFarm team will upload the boundaries to the platform and inform you once your farm is ready. SHP files with field boundaries can be downloaded from the LPIS database of your country (if you are located in the EU) or can be retrieved from terminals of the machinery working on your fields. The CleverFarm application allows you to manage all of your farms under one account. Similar to what's shown in the image (Figure 1), simply hover over the top bar, open the user menu, expand the menu with the list of farms, and by clicking on one of the farm names, you can switch to another farm.There is no need to log out and log in again when switching to a different farm. The data in the application is perfectly separated for individual farms, with the only connection being the common user. Therefore, keeping records, inventory management, reports, etc., are kept separate for each farm, allowing you to easily switch between farms while working.<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/9157d3c6-a9cd-467d-a0ee-4c9221f21ec9"></figure>Figure 1 : Switching between farms&nbsp;To get access to multiple farms under one account in our application, please contact our sales representatives or application support.

The agricultural record-keeping part of the application is used to record daily activities on the farm, primarily for crop production.The application is divided into functional sections accessible from the main menu on the top bar: map, overview of parcels and areas, activity overview, stock management, reports, and catalogues. The main menu also includes tabs for precision farming, telematics, sensors, irrigation, and notifications; these sections will be introduced separately, for now, we will focus on the agricultural record-keeping part of the application.<figure class="image image_resized" style="width:100%;"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/297c7eef-8c0a-42ee-8cf8-95be45593c42"></figure>&nbsp;<h3>Map</h3>The map is used for a visual overview of the entire farm. It displays all parcel geometries, crops, watercourses, and other auxiliary layers. Individual parcels are color-coded based on the crops sown on them. Another important feature of the map is parcel editing. Through editing, you can prepare your crop rotation, divide a parcel into individual parcels in the case of multiple crop planting (in our application, one crop corresponds to one plot). Editing is only possible for plots without crops.Map editing<ul><li>Merging parcels – adjacent parcels with the same code can be merged.</li><li>Splitting parcels – any unsown parcel can be split into multiple parcels.</li></ul>Further details about the map can be found in our article Working with the Map. In case of changes in parcel geometry or other modifications in your farm's layout, we also recommend reading our article Parcel and Crops on it.<h3>Parcels</h3>The Parcels tab contains a list of all parcels, crops, and areas on the farm.&nbsp;The 'Plot Overview' displays all parcels, their area size, farmer block area, culcure, crop type, nitrogen applied to the crop, and assignment to a zone. More details can be found in the Parcel Overview article. By clicking on the parcel name, you can open a page with parcel details, where detailed information about the parcel and recorded activities on it is available.On the parcel detail page, you can find detailed information about a specific parcel, including its history, what was grown on it, how much nitrogen was applied to individual crops, what activities took place on the parcel, or information from satellite data. More details can be found in the Parcel Detail article.ZonesYou can merge multiple parcels into a so-called 'zone' based on your criteria, such as having the same crop. This will speed up the input of agricultural record-keeping activities and make it easier for you to navigate the parcel overview. This feature can be used, for example, in the following ways:<ul><li>Merging small parcels that cannot be physically combined on the map into a single parcel, but are so small and close to each other that in reality, they are managed as a single parcel, so that the same crop is always grown there, the same machines are used, and the same fertilizer and plant protection products are applied. In this case, the 'zone' replaces the individual parcels.</li><li>The second way is to merge all parcels with the same crop to expedite filtering and working with them. In an agricultural year, most events typically occur by crop, meaning that corn is sown for several days in a row, then is fertilized, and so on. To avoid having to search for individual parcels, you can create a zone called 'corn' and include all parcels with corn on them.</li></ul>You can read more about zones and how to work with them in the Zones article.<h3>Activities</h3>The activity overview contains a list of all activities that have been recorded on the farm. It also provides the option to create individual activities.These activities are currently divided into 4 sections:<ul><li>Sowing plan - sowing, harvest, and mowing pastures</li><li>Record-keeping of fertilizers and PPP.</li><li>Variable applications</li><li>Other activities</li></ul>For each activity, there are forms ready to guide you through the entire process of entering agricultural record-keeping activities.&nbsp; You can find more details in the Activities Overview article.<h3>Stocks, stock control card</h3>Stocks are used to keep track of material movement during the agricultural year. Individual materials can thus be recorded as received or issued by issuing activities in the application. There is an overview of the entire stock as well as individual materials in the form of a stock control card. Currently, we have fertilizer, plant protection products, and seeds in stock. When entering quantities that are no longer in stock, you will be alerted. It is possible to print a stock control card for both individual materials and the overall stock. You can also record stock decrease in the warehouse by means other than via activities in the application. Details about stocks can be found in our Stocks and Stock Control Card article, as well as Export of Stock and Stock Control Cards.<h3>Reports</h3>Reports are used for printing various summaries of data that have been entered into the application. You can specify a time range for which you want to generate the report. The default setting is from the beginning of the calendar year to the current date. You can then choose whether you want a report for the entire farm or just a part of it. There is an option to generate multiple reports at once; you simply need to select which reports you want from the various categories.Reports can be generated in Excel or PDF format. Once generated, the report is downloaded to your computer. Currently, a report can only be generated when it contains data; you cannot generate an empty report.Here is a list of the provided reports:<ul><li>All agro activities,</li><li>Seeded areas,</li><li>Sowing plan,</li><li>Pastures report,</li><li>Yield,</li><li>PPP usage,</li><li>PPP usage statistics,</li><li>PPP usage statistics according to crop,</li><li>Fertilization,</li><li>Fertilizers usage without pasture,</li><li>Fertilizers usage statistics,</li><li>Fertilizers usage statistics according to crop.</li></ul>You can find details in the Reports article.<h3>Catalogues</h3>Catalogues contain a list of individual crops, fertilizers, and PPPs used on the farm. In all three categories, you can add your own entries, your own variety, fertilizer, or plant protection product if they are not offered in the Catalogue. For fertilizers, you can enter your own analysis. At the beginning, you need to fill in the Catalogue for your farm. What is added to Catalogue is always available in individual forms when entering record-keeping data.&nbsp; You can find more details in the Catalogues article.

The answer to your question is likely right there.

In case you are deploying the sensor for the first time, please pay attention. After inserting the battery, a green LED on the baseboard should blink. You can see the sensor in the application under the Sensors tab, and you just need to activate it by placing it on the map.<figure class="image"><img src="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/138868055/7cd2473605b397f2626286a7/ezgif.com-video-to-gif.gif"></figure>Fig. 1: Sensor activation in the app&nbsp;The sensor is not measuring or is measuring inaccurately? Try the procedures listed below, as they can help resolve 90% of possible issues. If the problems persist, please contact us, and we will discuss the next steps, including the possibility of replacing the sensor.<h2>Senzor does not give measurments</h2>The first aid for a frozen sensor is a hard reset. Simply remove the plastic cover (e.g., for a weatherstation, unscrew it from the bayonet thread), take out the battery, and reinsert it after five minutes. Ensure that the battery contacts have a good connection.If the battery is completely discharged, you will need to replace it with an AA 3.6V lithium battery (e.g., SAFT LS 14500). We have replacement batteries in stock; you can contact our application support for assistance.<figure class="image"><img src="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/159750722/5f632d1a272172f71640f2b0/image.jpg"></figure>Fig. 2: Lithium battery AA 3.6V SAFT LS 14500&nbsp;While you're at it, make a quick check of the inside of the casing to see if any of the components are damaged - for example, a broken antenna, a loose baseboard, or any signs of oxidation on the circuit boards, and so on.<h2>Not enough measured data, something is broken</h2>The cause could be a weak signal, typically when data arrives intermittently every few hours instead of the usual 30-minute interval. Try changing the sensor's location, or temporarily swapping sensors if you have multiple units. In practice, we have found that identical transponders in identical enclosures with the same firmware in the same location may have different abilities to cope with signal quality.<figure class="image"><img src="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/159750754/a4b7e69fe98a2c4178f649a4/image+%281%29.jpg"></figure>Fig. 3: Map of coverage in Czech Republic - Sigfox 8/2019<h2>Measurements do not seem right</h2>In general, the weatherstation should be placed with the sensor facing north, and the duration of direct sunlight should be as short as possible. The rain gauge must be placed in a horizontal position, and there is a bubble level on the rain gauge to help with this. The surface of the soil moisture sensor should be inclined so that water droplets can flow down on it, with an ideal inclination of 10 to 20 degrees. The direction of meanders is also crucial, and they must lie across the slope. Regarding wind direction measurement, there is a pennant with an N mark on the non-moving part of the vane connected to the pole, and this must always point north!<figure class="image"><img src="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/159750802/04a24ac9f3781d0809077e93/image+%282%29.jpg"></figure>Fig. 4: Configuration of a weatherstation with rain gauge and moisture sensorEspecially in winter, when the sun is low on the horizon, solar radiation can directly hit the sensor, causing it to heat up. The new type of weatherstation comes with a radiation shield that shades the sensor from direct sunlight, even in exposed locations. If you're interested in addressing this situation by replacing the sensor, please contact our sales department <a href="mailto:sales@cleverfarm.cz">sales@cleverfarm.cz</a>.&nbsp;<figure class="image image_resized" style="width:90.21%;"><img src="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/159750825/5e41be8c736cf92674db3f49/image+%283%29.jpg"></figure>Fig. 5: "Buggy" rain gauge - not only birds enjoy rain gauges.&nbsp;Watch out for insects and birds! If you measure precipitation on a clear day, a bird of prey may land on the sensor. Conversely, if you don't measure any precipitation during rain, the mechanics of the rain gauge may be dirty. After cleaning the rain collector, it's recommended to install a perch for birds of prey about half a meter away, which should be higher than the weather station. Birds of prey will land on the perch and not only protect the rain gauge from other birds but also hunt for mice and voles. Another option, especially in exposed areas, is to surround the edge of the collecting cup with barbed wire or similar measures.If the sensor continuously measures precipitation, it's likely due to a broken tipping bucket. In this case, you should physically check the sensor, examine the tipping bucket mechanism to see if anything is obstructing it or if it's loose.<figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/86aaa0e0-b63b-47ff-9551-d8e8f30919bc"></figure>Fig. 6: Continuous precipitation<figure class="image image_resized" style="width:89.86%;"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/4033a287-5194-4d99-98ba-f2c556350836"></figure>Fig. 7: Tipping Bucket (loose at attachment point)During year-round operation, there may be a distortion in air humidity measurements due to prolonged exposure to freezing conditions. Typically, the device then shows 100% humidity. The remedy is possible through a so-called regenerative process, which involves completely drying the humidity sensor and then rehydrating it. We recommend bringing the device indoors and drying it for three days at temperatures of up to 50°C (for example, on a radiator).
